John Neal

 John is a United States Navy veteran and a retired police officer with the City of Cincinnati where he worked for 28 years. John has 21 years of experience in K9, where he was assigned initially as a handler and then as the principle K9 trainer for the Cincinnati Police Department. Neal was a 2-time Department-national champion with the USPCA (K9 Maximus) and also finished 7th overall in the nation as an individual. Additionally, he was a Top Novice USPCA Handler- 3 times with the Cincinnati Police Department. Neal handled three K9s with Cincinnati- K9 Maximus, K9 Titus, and K9 Jones. John was assigned for 15 years to the Cincinnati SWAT Team as a K-9 handler where he had the first K-9 assigned to the team. He was also the first handler to incorporate a K9 within the actual Cincinnati SWAT Team element. John was both a State and Regional Board Member for the Ohio Tactical Officers Association and has 13 years of experience as a Certified K9 and Tactical trainer for the Ohio Peace Officer Training Association (OPOTA). John has held positions as an Ohio State K9 Certification evaluator for OPOTA and a certified student trainer for Shallow Creek Kennels where he has trained numerous police K9 teams. Neal is a University of Cincinnati graduate.
