Lisa joined Setpoint in 2021, initially seeking training for her two Belgian Malinois for personal and family protection. Inspired by her positive experience as a client, she was invited to become part of the Setpoint team. She reflects on her decision, saying, “Training with Mike and the team was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Their vast knowledge and experience at the highest levels have taught me so much, and my confidence as a handler has grown tremendously. Not to mention, the progress my dogs have made! So when they invited me to join the Setpoint team, I was both honored and excited. Their methods, vision, and passion for these animals align perfectly with my own, and I’m grateful to be part of such an amazing team.” Lisa currently manages marketing and social media for Setpoint and also assists with early puppy development for our younger K9s and PPDs in training. A native Texan, Lisa graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Geography, specializing in Urban & Regional Analysis. She began her career at Energy XXI, a start-up EPL Oil & Gas company, where she managed corporate events, arranged trips for investment bankers, and handled administrative tasks for the executive team. In 2009, she retired from Energy XXI to focus on raising her three children. Her role as a mother sparked her motivation to pursue tactical training to better protect her family. In her free time, Lisa is an avid runner and mountain racer, and she enjoys running Canicross with her two PPDs, Apache and Ripley.
